Welcome! Support, healing, and growth

—all from the comfort of your space.

Hi! I’m Carrie Farmer (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field.

After years of working in community mental health and a group practice, I founded Creative Insight Counseling, LLC in 2018 as an in-person counseling service in McMinnville, TN. When 2020 brought unexpected changes, I embraced telehealth as a way to continue supporting my clients—making therapy more accessible and convenient for those in need.

Today, I provide individual and group therapy through a secure online platform, offering compassionate and effective mental health support across Tennessee and Florida. I specialize in working with anxiety and trauma, using evidence-based approaches to help clients find healing, resilience, and balance in their lives.

I specialize in treating trauma and anxiety, using evidence-based approaches such as Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. As a certified yoga instructor, I also incorporate mind-body awareness into my therapeutic work, helping clients build resilience and find balance in their healing journey.

No matter where you are, support is just a click away. I’d love to help you on your journey toward wellness!

Beyond one-on-one therapy, I’m passionate about group work and am actively developing both in-person and online workshops to create meaningful spaces for connection and growth. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all individuals. I believe in meeting clients where they are with compassion, respect, and a deep commitment to their well-being. Outside of my practice, I’m a mom who loves traveling, being outdoors, and getting lost in a good book. I believe in the power of healing, connection, and self-discovery, and I’m honored to walk alongside my clients on their paths to wellness.

Individual Therapy

Online individual therapy offers a convenient and secure way to receive professional support from the comfort of your own space. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or personal growth, therapy provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment to explore your thoughts and emotions.

Play Therapy and Parent Coaching

Children often express themselves best through play. Online Play Therapy provides a safe and engaging space for kids to process emotions, build coping skills, and navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or behavioral concerns. Using developmentally appropriate techniques, I help children feel understood and supported while fostering emotional growth.

Support for both you and your child is just a click away. Let’s work together to create positive change.

Group Therapy

Healing happens in connection. Online group therapy provides a supportive and confidential space where individuals facing similar challenges can come together to share experiences, gain insight, and grow alongside others. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or self-esteem struggles, group therapy offers a sense of community and understanding that fosters healing and personal growth.
